Post-injury rehabilitation and conditioning for young athletes aged 8 to 18. Rather than a fixed timeline, we work through phases with clearance criteria at each stage, so the return to sport is based on what the tests show, not the calendar. Delivered by Dr. Hyma, CCSP certified.
We assess the injured area and the movement around it, then set the phase the athlete starts in. The plan is built from where they are now, not from a standard week-by-week schedule.
Phased strengthening of the injured area and the muscles supporting it. Each phase has its own clearance criteria; we move up only when those are met.
Once strength clears, we reintroduce jumping, landing and change-of-direction work that loads the area the way the sport will.
Drills that mirror the demands of the athlete's sport. Clearance to return is based on the test results, not on how the child says they feel.
We do not set a date on the website. Return is phased, and each phase has clearance criteria. Some need longer; we will tell you which on the first visit, after we have assessed.
Clearance is based on the test results for strength, load and sport-specific movement, not on how the child says they feel. We move up a phase only when the criteria for that phase are met.
